The World Bank technical team visited SDS and its operational area. The members of the team are; Ms Anna O’Donnell, Lead Social Development Specialist; Ms Sonya Mumtaz Sultan, Task team leader & Senior Social Development Specialist; Ms. Jayati Sethi – Consultant – World Bank; Mr. Rafiqul Islam, – Consultant – World Bank; and Mr. Harish Khare – Senior Housing Finance Specialist, World Bank. The visiting team was also accompanied by three members of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF);- Mr. Akm Nuruzzaman, General Manager, Mr. Mohammad Nur E Alam, Engineering Officer; Mr. Md. Anisur Rahman. Assistant Manager. The delegation held an exchange of views with the senior officials of the organization at 10 am in the meeting room of the SDS head office. On behalf of the organization, MS. Rabeya Begum, Executive Director, kept warm greetings and welcome everyone through her short speech. After that, the director of the SDS, Mr. Kamroul Hassan presented a brief description of the organization. The delegates discussed various interventions and plans of the organization with SDS Senior and Mid-level staff. They visited the SDS LICHS project (Low-Income Community Housing Support Project) area of the organization and interacted with the project beneficiaries. After the field-level visit, they again shared their visit report in the executive director’s room at the head office. They are very impressed with the project beneficiaries after discussing with them.
