Project Brief:
In order to survive in the competitive market, it is necessary to improve the branding and packaging of products from small enterprises, along with enhancing product quality. On the other hand, online marketing of various products is expanding due to the development of information technology. Several e-commerce service providers are marketing products online at both national and international levels. Buyers are also increasingly interested in purchasing products through e-commerce. Many e-commerce services, including Alibaba.com and Amazon, have become quite popular internationally. E-commerce services like Chaldal.com, Daraj, Evaly, and Food Panda are also gaining popularity in the country. During the Covid-19 pandemic, many small entrepreneurs have sold their products through social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. There is no alternative to expanding e-commerce services in this sector regarding the marketing of small enterprises’ products to larger national and increasingly international markets.
The major hurdles to successful online marketing of small business products through e-commerce services are poor product quality and product packaging. Small enterprises have many opportunities to work on product quality, product variety, production environment and hygiene standards, product decoration, packaging, etc. Apart from this, product branding should also be given special importance. If the products of small enterprises can be marketed competitively through professional skills and quality development, the market for these products will expand. As a result, it will be possible to make a positive contribution to the rural and national economy by creating employment opportunities at an increasing rate.
Another important thing is to inform small entrepreneurs about various e-commerce and online platforms and provide them with ideas about their product display and marketing strategies on these platforms. Increasing product display and marketing skills on various social media and online platforms, along with gradually expanding online marketing of their products, will be particularly helpful for the small enterprise sector. In this case, efforts can be taken to connect small enterprises with online service providers that offer marketing support for their products. It is necessary to gradually connect them with various platforms by developing their skills with the help of experienced online companies and provide them with the necessary support to use applicable software applications.
By observing the microenterprise sector at work and identifying potential products at this stage, products that are now viable can be marketed through e-commerce service providers, following the Amazon model, with a hub (product warehouse) facility and regional-level product distribution. This system has been successfully developed and will play an effective role in expanding trade services. By doing this, it will be possible to deliver the product quickly. After receiving the product, customers can check its quality and pay the price at home (cash on delivery). As a result, both producers and consumers will benefit. In this case, some initial investment will be required in developing storage management and product delivery systems. Also, the service provider can sustainably continue this service later on with a small fee for buying and selling products. This will develop a sustainable system..
